What I Do

Theatre/Circus/Dance

As well as providing the description for a performance, I write and record an introduction which includes descriptions of the characters and set. A copy of this as an MP3 and text document can then be sent out to those who require it before the audio described performance. I work with the production team to provide a touch tour prior to the show, which includes a walk around the set and a chance to handle the props and costumes.

Film

I work remotely with a technician to ensure high quality recordings. An embedded version of the film is provided, along with the audio description as an isolated file.

Guiding

I provide description and guidance to individuals or small groups in site specific events, including immersive theatre, exhibitions and festivals.

Companies I have provided audio description for include Bristol Old Vic, Glastonbury Festival, Das Clarks, Proteus Theatre Company, Ramshacklicious, Splatch Productions and Green Truck Studios.
